Around the globe there are more than 100 international exchanges that are quoted approximately 30,000 shares, and the most important in the world are in North America, Asia and Europe.

1. New York Stock Exchange:

It is located on Wall Street and was established in the year of 1792. It merged with the American Stock Exchange in 2008.

The NYSE opens at 9:30 a.m ET and closes at 4:00 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday.

2. NASDAQ:

This stock exchange was established in 1971, it is the second largest stock exchange in the US.

The Nasdaq Stock Market operates from 9.30 am to 4:00 pm.  Saturday and Sunday as well as federal holidays Stock Exchange is closed for business.

3. Tokyo Stock Exchange:

The Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE), which is called Tōshō (東証) or TSE/TYO for short name, is the third largest stock exchange in the world and the first largest stock exchange among Asian countries, was created in the year 1878 and has more than 2,000 listed companies.

The Tokyo Stock Exchange trading hours are from 9:00 a.m to 3:00 a.m. local time, with a lunch period from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

4. The London Stock Exchange:

This is the oldest stock exchange in the world, it was established in the year 1801.

The London Stock Exchange trading hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. local time with no lunch period. and are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

5. Hong Kong Stock Exchange:

During the year of 2011, this stock market was in sixth position in terms of market capitalization. It has now been placed in position number 5.

The Hong Kong Stock Exchange opens at 9:30 a.m. and closes at 4 p.m. local time, and closed for lunch break 12 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and is closed on Saturday and Sunday.

6. Shanghai Stock Exchange:

This is the third largest stock exchange in the Asian continent and the second largest in the People’s Republic of China. The market capitalization of the ESS is 2,547 billion dollars.

The Shanghai Stock Exchange operates from 9.30 am to 4:00 pm.  Saturday and Sunday as well as federal holidays Stock Exchange is closed for business.

7. Toronto Stock Exchange:

The Toronto Stock Exchange is held by TMX group of Canada. It is located in Toronto, Canada. This is the third largest stock exchange in North America.

The Toronto Stock Exchange operating hours are from 9:30 to 16:00 and Trading days are from Monday to Friday and is closed on Saturday and Sunday.

8. Deutsche Börse:

Deutsche Börse AG or the Deutsche Börse Group is located in Frankfurt which works as a marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and other securities.

The Deutsche Börse market Trading hours are from 9:00 to 17:30 (Xetra) and 8:00 to 22:00 and Trading days are from Monday to Friday and is closed on Saturday and Sunday.

9. Australian Securities Exchange:

Australia’s first stock market was formed in 1861 in Melbourne. Then it underwent numerous changes throughout the 19th century. Finally Australian Securities Exchange was created in 2006 by the merger of Australian Stock Exchange and Sydney Future Exchange.

The Australian Securities Exchange normal trading hours from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Trading days are from Monday to Friday and is closed on Saturday and Sunday.

10. Bombay Stock Exchange:

Bombay Stock Exchange is one of the oldest stock exchange in the world, it was formed in the year of 1850. Apart from BSE, another important stock exchange in India is the National Stock Exchange, which was formed in 1994.

The Bombay Stock Exchange trades from 9.00 AM to 9.15 AM during market days and Trading days are from Monday to Friday and is closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd. (DSE) :

Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd. (DSE) has Resumed in Bangladesh on August 16, 1976.

Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd. (DSE) opens at 9:30 am and closes at 5:30 pm.but trading starts at 10:30 am and ends at 2:30 pm. Markets are open Sunday through Thursday and closed on Friday and Saturday and other publish holidays declared in advance by the Exchange.

Chittagong Stock Exchange Ltd. (CSE):

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) is another trading market in Bangladesh which stated its journey in 10th October of 1995 from Chittagong City.

Chittagong Stock Exchange Ltd. (DSE) opens at 9:30 am but trading starts at 10:30 am and ends at 2:30 pm. Markets are open Sunday through Thursday and closed on Friday and Saturday and other publish holidays declared in advance by the Exchange.
